Dr. Timothy Krill was born and raised in Houston, TX. Growing up in Sugar Land, he received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Houston summa cum laude. He went on to attend the University of Texas Medical School at Houston, where he graduated with the distinction of Alpha Omega Alpha—the prestigious medical academic honor society. He then proceeded to complete a three-year internal medicine residency program at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, a three-year gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He then did an additional year of specialized training in therapeutic and advanced endoscopy at Yale University.
Dr. Krill has specialized knowledge and skill in treatment of pancreatic and biliary disorders. He has particular expertise in ERCP, endoscopic ultrasound, large polyp removal (helping patients to avoid surgery), and placement of enteral stents. However, he also treats a wide variety of gastrointestinal diseases including irritable bowel syndrome, motility disorders, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, celiac disease, acid reflux, liver diseases, and colon cancer screening.
Dr. Krill has presented at national meetings and has published in numerous articles in prestigious medical journals. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
He and his wife, who is a transplant hepatologist, have a son and live in Houston. Dr. Krill enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors, working on cars, and mastering the grill.
